Ruling, manuscript and print. Land Commission document "Rulings on title and directions for searches" on the estate of Richard Henry Spratt regarding lands in Baltidaniel, in the Barony of Fermoy Co. Cork. Document filled out 6th July 1914, but with dates up to 1916 in text. In booklet form with eight pages the first and last of which have printed text, giving the nature of the document. The printing on the back page is restricted to the right hand side so that the document can be folded in half with the resumee uppermost. The inner pages and the bottom half of the first page are printed with blue lines and a central vertical dividing line giving two columns to the page. The left hand colums are filled in black ink and list rulings and decisions, the right hand column in red ink records action taken on the rulings. Each ruling is crossed out diagonally in red. This right hand column extends the date of the document up to 5th June 1916. The final 3 line pages are not written on. Embossed stamp of the Irish Land Commission at top left of side 3. Rectangular blue stamp on second side reads "Requisitioned" with date stamp 13 Jul 1914 below. Solicitors who dealt with this are named on cover as Barrington and son, 10 Ely Place Dublin.
