Photograph, black and white, framed. Head and shoulders portrait of the young John Cronin. Mounted on off white card and framed in a frame made by the subject himself. The frame is basically rectangular with slightly wider offsets at the corners. The frame is carved with an oak-leaf and acorn design, which extends around all four sides. The picture is held in place with modern hardboard and panel pins at the back.
