Sign, advertising, colour painted. Rectangular light metal sign, with edges folded back. At top, left and right of centre, a pair of circular perforations in the turned back edge, have a pink cord threaded through them to form a suspension loop, the ends of the cord being held in place between the edge and the main body of the sign. There is a further small perforation in the top edge of the sign, near the cord. The sign background is painted yellow/orange, with green edges. Text (and colours of same): '(white, on green scroll with black outline, with ends curled) We Sell / (red, with black edging, and shadow bottom/right) CLUNE'S / (illustration of bar of plug tobacco, with label showing Sarsfield as per statue, diagonally, upward) / SARSFIELD / PLUG', left of 'plug' is '(green, black outline) MILD & LASTING'. Bottom centre, '(white, on green scroll with black outline, ends curled) CLUNE'S FACTORY, LIMERICK'. Top right, in corner, green circle with black outline, and curved panel below, ditto, 'IRISH TRADE MARK' in black on panel. Inside circle, white field, with 'Deanta i nEireann' to left, curved, written upward, in red in clo-gaelach script. In centre, also in red, 'RD. No. 0364', in horizontal gap in red circular area with white border which bears an interlace design in white. Bottom left, green circle with black outline, with curved panel below ditto, with 'CLUNE'S TRADE MARK' on it in black. Inside the circle, in green with black outline on a yellow/orange background, depiction of Sarsfield as per stance of Sarsfield Statue. Identical to LM 1982.75
