Postcard, b/w, matt. The Quays, Limerick. Obv: View of quayside with paddle steamer apparently leaving, dark smoke from funnel, single raked mast forrard, people visible on main and upper decks. To the right, the quayside, several men wearing panama hats standing, and a boy sitting. A heavy chain appears to secure a wooden landing stage, which can be seen below the quayside, just above water level. A wooden rowboat is moored to it at two points, and contains two oars stowed along the sides. Other vessels are moored at the quays, in the middle distance. Possibly two more steamships, and several sailing vessels. City skyline visible in the background. Rev: Printed brown. Top centre, Post Card, with, beneath, a double line, the lower much shorter. From its centre, a double line, descending, vertical, towards bottom margin of card, dividing the card. Heading, left, Communication., right, Address.
