Postcard, b/w, matt. O/: turbine casings during construction of the Ardnacrusha hydroelectric station. Photo shows a turbine casing, and the edges of two others, surrounded and containing wooden scaffolding. The casing contains three men, two riveting. Other men stand or sit on or in the casing. In the background are many steel rods with their ends in concrete, awaiting the rest of the concreting to be completed. Note the markings on the casing sections, T1 ..., T2 ... Narrow white border around photo. Rev: Printed black. Title, bottom, left. Centre, a line, vertical, descending, dividing the card, its upper end nearer the margin than the lower end, interrupted at its centre by V. 5124. Top, right, Post=Card, with below, two dotted lines, horizontal, then a space, then another two dotted lines, shorter than the two above them. Top right, dotted rectangular stamp frame, with, within, Printed / in / Germany / W 81 29. Left, parallel to and beside left edge, T. C. Caroll (sic) & Sons Stationers, Limerick.
