Streetscape, with church at left in its own grounds behind a low stone wall; several pedestrians in street and on pavement and two donkey carts moving towards camera; houses and shops at right side of road; in distance hill with cross on top. Reverse printed in brown; at centre top "Post Card" with wavy division line below; up left edge "Lawrence, Publisher. Dublin"; to left of centre "This space may be used for communication for/ Inland Postage and Foreign Countries, except/ Japan, Spain and United States."; to right "The Address Only to be/ Written Here". Message written 1/6/09 across whole of card, to Sarah from her sister Susanna; message we could not get into chapel because it was locked, we climbed to cross in picture, Mr. S is writing to Mrs Hamilton saying that he does not like the Irish people, the poor sleep with cats, dogs and fowl. No stamp, presumably posted in envelope.
