Envelope, addressed to Peter O'Brien Esqr., Stamp Office, Limerick. Victoria penny red unperforated postage stamp, at top right, letters MJ. Cancellation on stamp, a Maltese Cross. Three circular cancellations on reverse "Limerick/ MY 6/ 1843/ F", "Kilrush/ MY 6/ 1843" and "Ennis/ 6 MY/ 1843". Applied circular green paper seal on flap, embossed with Gothic letter C on lined background. Perforation through centre.
