Envelope, addressed to P. O'Brien Esq., Stamp Office, Limerick. Victoria penny red unperforated postage stamp at top right, letter ?D. Cancellation on stamp, "88" in a lozenge of parallel lines. Circular cancellation in address area, "Pallasgreen/ JA 15/ 1853"; on reverse, straight "Cahirconlish/ Pallasgreen" circular "Limerick/ JA 16/ 1853". Circular embossing on flap, a sprig of shamrocks. Perforated through centre.
