Anvilstone. Schist? with layer of quartzite on one edge. Triangular in outline, with one convex edge formed by a break, the others natural. One face in convex in section, roughly worked over most of its surface, with the water-polished surface remaining towards the curved edge. The other face is slightly concave in section, with an irregular surface due to peeling of layers, and slightly pocked towards the centre, with three slight grooves radiating from the pocked area. The point at the junction of the two straight edges is slightly pocked. Neolithic.
