Clay tobacco pipe made for John Clune, tobacco manufacturer, Limerick? 1880s 1890s. Made by John Pollock, Manchester? Upright slightly bulbous bowl supported on the stem in the form of a birds foot, one talon on each of the faces, the talons terminating on the stem with a broad encircling rib, a slight groove and ridge to each side. The number 25, raised, on the stem below the rib. H. bowl 4.0 D. rim ext 2.2 T. wall 0.2 L. stem 4.4 L. stem beyond talons 2.2 D. bore 0.2
