Altar fall

Altar fall, Limerick Lace. IHS at centre in a bouquet of flowers, flanked by a chalice wither side with repeating scroll along the bottom to end of the piece. 1908, towards left end and 1930 to right end of net. The lace is sewn to a white ribbon at the top, and has a wavy edge below; decoration is mostly confined to the lower half of the net. Ribbon stamped 6 or 9 in two places. laundry marks at one end; P.C. in ink and, HC, sewn in red thread.
