Bernard, 7 Rutland St. View, taken from Clare side of the river, shows two coxed eights racing each other in middle distance, with boats carrying officials etc. around the racers; the quays are lined with spectators; Russells Quay at centre left; to right of centre a range of Suttons buildings and a crane on the quay; in the distance a church is being built, The Presbyterian Church in Henry St, started 1899; tall chimeys frame the picture at left and right. Mounted on dark green card, with photographer's name and address in gold across bottom; all edges gold.
