Spoon, basting; Limerick Silver. By M Fitzgerald. Turned down round ended handle, oval egg shaped bowl. Bright cut edges around handle, a single line following the outline of the spoon, with diagonals running from it to the edge; on the inside of the line is a double row of shallow incised points Engraved initials H/ WOB on upper wide end of handle. Three marks, MFG in a rectangle, struck twice, once either side of, Sterling, in a rectangle; all on the narrowest part of the handle. The marks are clear but the upper parts of the two outer ones are worn, as is the G of Sterling.
