Letter,typed, on headed paper, Stephen O'Meara (O'Mara) to Town Clerk William Nolan, 4th October 1923, stating that he is determined to resign as Mayor, elected to serve second term of one year from January 1922, term extended compulsorily to October and now propose indefinite term, has made sacrifice of every hour of time to National and Civic duties, in jail or at freedom, cannot continue.
