Pair of buttons either side of fly and pair at back for braces. All buttons black Japanned? with 4 holes. Back of trousers has a panel raised above the waistline with buttons on. Slit pocket rear r. Waistband of dirty white cotton? with widely-spaced vertical narrow blue stripes. Stitched repairs to r. pocket and r. leg bottom. Some moth damage. Initials P.O.M. on r. pocket. Typed card found in folded trousers reads: This uniform was worn by one of the Mace Bearers during the Mayorality of John Daly (1899-1901)
