Banner, confraternity; textile. Large panel at centre rectangular but for bottom edge with three curves; panel in gold on white, with large central shamrock ringed oval. Inside oval is a multicolour woven image of St. Patrick banishing the snakes with ruined round tower behind him. The head and other exposed flesh is applied. The panel is set on a white background bordered by green velvet bands with yellow tape borders all round. There is a similar central green stripe down centre above and below panel. Painted on background below panel, "God Save Ireland" over two"Chi-rho" monograms surrounded by shamrocks. Bottom edge has the two rectangular green band projecting as rectangles with double curve between; bootm edge has yellow fringe. Top has green velvet swag across. Backing cloth a dirty gold-yellow colour. Cotton and rayon? Quite worn, tears within panel and on reverse. At bottom on reverse "CSSR Limerick" and red on white label "Made at / Good Shepherd Convent Limerick"
