Mug, Limerick silver by Joseph Johns. Trumpet foot, with slightly tapered body and slightly flared everted rim; double scroll handle, fixed below the rim, but rising slightly above rim. Engraved opposite the handle, a shield with crest of a demi-lion rampant; on shield l. a lion rampant r. a deer lying down under a canopy with drapes; motto under "Virtute et Valore". Maker's mark on base "I [lion rampant] I"; Joseph Johns. "9oz" scratched on base.
