J.P, youngest son of Sir Croker Barrington both of Glenstal, on 1st part; Charlotte Bayly of Debsborough, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, daughter of John Bayly, 2nd part; Sir Croker Barrington 3rd part; John Bayly, 4th part; and Richard Edmund Bayly of Debsborough and John Napier George Pollock, J.P of Mountainstown, Co Meath, hereinafter called the Trustees; dated 23rd July 1887. Mentions in text of; action Greene v Barrington; Joseph Walker, Samuel Bagot, Croker Barrington and Joseph Barrington acting as trustees; life interest of Ann Barrington; preference stock of Great Southern and Western Railway of Ireland; Scottish Equitable Assurance Co. policies. Written on four sides of parchment, with text reading from the lowest upward; lower sheet larger and bottom edge folded up and the four sheets held together at each side with short strip of parchment; also three strips of green tape, each bearing two red wax seal, with the signature of the parties around the seals. Same seal matrix used for all six, a profile of a man within an oval. Row of three Revenue stamps down left side of lowest sheet, all red on white paper. From top down; circular with Royal Coat of Arms at centre wreathed with shamrocks, roses and thistles, "23" to left "9" to right, "87/ Five Shillings" below; on second piece of paper, rectangular with indented rounded corners, "Duplicate/ or/ Counterpart, over Royal Arms wreathed with shamrocks roses and thistles, over "Original/ Stamped with", and Circular with four pointed projections "Commissioners of Inland Revenue, over Royal Arms with lion and unicorn flanked by "23 9" all over "Adjudged Stamped/ 87". In pencil above stamps "5/-" crossed out. Unclear pencil note at top. Each stamp has small lead strip though centre, and on reverse of each is a black on white stamp with a crown over "VR" monogram. The whole is folded latitudinally, twice, then twice, once from each side towards middle. Signatures witnessed on reverse, by Andrew Nash?, Barrington's Bridge and Croker Barrington Solicitor. Outer cover annotated as to contents and marked "No.6 Box 10"; and "677 26/ EL". 1997.242-244 are held together by a length of red tape.
