Banknote, Provincial Bank of Ireland, Limerick, specimen £10 note. Printed black on white, one side only. Patterned border with name of bank at top and Limerick at centre of other three sides. Inside at top left, a young head of Victoria in garter and wreath; Britannia and Hibernia seated together at centre and "Ten Pounds" in oval at right; text below "I Promise to pay the Bearer/ on demand Ten Pounds British at Limerick". Stamped specimen in place for managers signature. "Perkins Bacon & Petch, London. Patent Hadened Steel Plate" above frame at centre bottom. Note has been stuck in a book; remnants of brown paper stuck to back
