Signed by Curley and witnessed by patrick O'Shea, signed for landlords by S.R.C. Hemphill. Marked at bottom that Curley left for USA in spring 1901 leaving rent due and unrecoverable. 1d lilac Postage and Inland Revenue stamp of Queen Victoria with x across. Written on one side of a single sheet. Watermark; a circle containing the cardinal points over Busbridge & Cos./ Universal Paper. Folded in half twice and annotated on outside. Pinned to 237.
