Limits: N., slightly above Castle St; E., Pennywell junction with Dublin Road - Killalee churchyard - Lunatic Asylum; S., Prospect Row - Sayers R.; W., Farranshone Road - Meads Quay. Features: Treaty Stone marked at n. side of Thomond Bridge; Athlunkard St titled New road to Athlunkard Bridge; Abbey River titled Salmon Weir River; Augustinian Lane titled Marys Abbey; Old dock at Potato Market shown, but titled Market; Post Office shown at s. end of Mathew Bridge in entrance to Custom House; Floating Dock marked at Arthurs Quay; Wellesley Bridge marked, but no Ennis Road, only a short tree-lined way labelled Avenue; Pery Square small, titled New Square; Railway station marked at end of Careys Road S. of grounds of County Jail and Lunatic Asylum, between the two buildings.
