View upriver from a craft at the quay of the quays and bridge, Limerick Boat Club in centre middle distance, quay wall and Dock Road buildings to right, a sailing boat inscribed "Littlehampton" to right foreground. Gold coloured repousse border of touching rectangles around photo, the bottom right corner clipped, a harp and shamrock outside, shamrocks at top left corner. Green edge to card. R/ Depression of obverse patterns. Heading "Valentine Series / Post Card" divided by globes inscribed above "Famous" on "Throughout", below "The / World / Printed in Scotland". Vertical line division. Publisher vertically on left. Halfpenny George V stamp postmarked Limerick, 3.15 pm, 27 Au. 1917. (August 27th) Addressed to Mrs Sansum, 9 Stafford Street, Walsall, England.
