Release, manuscript on parchment. Deed of release of Ballinvrinny in County Limerick to Daniel Webb, 2nd July 1716. Richard Earl Bellomont, first party, Lucy Ann Dowager Countess Bellomont, second part, Captain Daniel Webb of Rathcannon, Co. Limerick, third party, Henry Earl of Grantham and George Cholmondley Baron Newborough, fourth party and Charles Carthy merchant of Dublin, fifth. Refers to earlier deed with names Richard Coote, Seigneur D'Anverquorque, Frances Countess of Nassau, William Lord Viscount Mountjoy, James Kendall of Westminster., on lives of Katherine Countess Dowager of Bellomont now wife of William Caldwell of Birkmorton, Worcestershire; ref to act for the Earl to sell lands in Ireland; Ballinvrinny, also Ballinvring, also Ballinvoory. Single sheet, indentured along upper edge; lower edge turned up and held together by six pieces of red tape, each sealed, one for each of the five (one a dual) parties, with signature of each to left. Seals; Earl Bellomont, a bird (a coot?); Lucy Ann Bellomont, a lozenge under a crown with tassels, with in left field a chevron with two ducks over and one below, right field three rampant beast; Daniel Webb, a monogram; Grantham, similar to Lucy Ann; Newborough a crown over a cartouche with a ?sheaf of corn; Carthy unclear but something with wings. Witnessed on reverse for the various parties; Matt. Pennefather, A. Henry, Arthur O'Neille, mark of Mary Morris, George James Guidott. Also on reverse receipt for monies, and memorial that deed entered at register office Feb 1 1716, signed B. Parry. Folded top and bottom edge to centre, then in half, then from sides to middle and in half. Annotated on outside with contents and stamped "No2" in magenta.
