Document, legal; manuscript on partially pre-printed parchment. Indenture; Fee farm grant of land in S. Priorsland by Rt. Hon. William Henry Tennison Earl of Limerick to Patrick Aloysius Shannon dated 11-03-1854. Conversion of 1998.043 from three lives renewable into fee simple pursuant to the Renewable Leasehold Conversion Act; original rent of £6 Irish to be £5-10-9 1/2 sterling. Heading and frame around text printed on parchment, "J. O'Malley/ law Stationer/ and/ Stamp Seller" in margin at left; "Engraver Lithographer and Printer" in flourishes around "Indenture". Folded up at bottom and fastened either side with strips of parchment; two dark green tapes at bottom with red seal on front, with signatures of parties to left. Red wax identical plain trellis matrix on both seals. Witnessed on reverse by Thomas B. Huthwaite? 10 Ely Place Dublin, for the Earl and M. Keating for Shannon, with Michael Hurley? below. Two blue paper stamp duty embossings at top left, both with embossed lead strip at centre; upper shield shaped hexagon, with "A Ireland" across top over an oval containing a crown over "G III R/ Counter/ Part"., with "Ad Valorem Duty Paid" around lower part of oval; other stamp a shield/cartouche, "Ireland" over a crown, with "A" to left and a harp to right, over a floral motif, with "Five Shillings" below. On reverse of stamps two crowned VR monogram stamps, black on white; upper "87 7", lower "74 5". Pencil marginalia; two illegible words followed by 12 July 54 with initials under; and "Not in original draft". Annotated that entered in land registry and signed "?? Quidpart Co" and John ? Chap????". Folded from top and bottom to middle and then in half, then from both sides to middle and in half. Outer side annotated with contents as "No. 75". Under annotation, in different hands, "5", "16d com????"; "Compd/ 19/11/53 JWT? and at bottom right "Wm. K. Clay/ 21 Peter St". On reverse 118B in pencil
