Oval frame at centre, with b/w image with green sprig of shamrock behind oval, showing at three points; title at centre bottom outside oval "Carroll's Bridge, Ennis" View across bridge, donkey cart at left foreground church by pavement at left towards centre, one other cart and c 6 pedestrians in view, balustrade of bridge at right edge; "J.V. in a circle. Reverse printed in grey; at centre top "Valentine's/ Famous/ Throughout/ the/ World", with "Throughout" printed across twin globes; "Post" to left and "Card" to right of previous, with T-shaped division below; "Valentine, Dublin" up left edge; box for stamp at top right, with "Printed in Scotland" up outside right edge. Unused. Pencil dealer's marks at top right "Eire/ Co. Clare/ Co. Clare/ £4".
