Release, typescript. Release, dated 3rd August 1920; John William Sparling, The Gerard Hotel, Harcourt St., Dublin, of the 1st part, Christopher Denham Sparling, Shannon View Tomgraney, of the 2nd, and James John Elder of Ballinasloe and Rev Montgomery John Palmer, Newcastle vicarage, Newtownmountkennedy of the 3rd. 1st party releasing his brother and the 3rd party trustees of his father's estate from further duties in return for his part of the estate. Signatures of 1st and 2nd party only, witnessed by John J. Dunne assistant to MacKenzie & Skehan, solicitor, 113-114 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin. Single sheet folded in half to form 4pp, the first 3 of which have printed red margins around all four sides and blue lines; fourth side blank, but annotated with contents on one quarter, the document having been folded twice. Document written on first three sides, includes a schedule of stocks and shares. Stamp duty at top left; red, four lobes with crown at centre, "202 over, "12" to left and "8" to right with "Ten/ Shillings" below. In pencil next to stamp "Limerick/ 10/8/20/ 10/-" followed by two sets of illegible initials, and "12 8". At base of wrapper "F.M. Fitt & Co/ Solicitors/ Lr Mallow Street. Limerick", with "2" in pencil above. Watermark "Hodgkinson & Co."
