Spectacles case, Limerick silver, by H.L. Stewart, 1905. Parallel sided outline with rounded ends, in cross section the two short sides are straight while the longer sides are curved, the curve in the upper side being more marked. Opens at one end, where part of side and top is a separate piece held in place by a band around the end, both ends of which attach to the main body at the side and have a pivot. The case is closed by a projection on the inside of the movable part which engages a hole in the end off the back of the case. The inside of the case is lined with blue velvet. The upper side is engraved "W O'G". Hallmarks at the lower end of the upper side, "HLS" in a rectangle, Hibernia in a rectangle, a crowned harp in a rectangle and a Gothic "K", i.e. Dublin 1905. The harp mark is repeated once on the back and on one side.
