O/ openwork head of a Celtic cross, with triquetra engraved on each arm and ropework on ring,; at centre a shield, raised, gold, displaying crossed hurleys with ball below; suspension loop and ring at top. R/ engraved "S.H. '47/ Ahane"; marks at bottom, row of three, Hibernia Harp and "F" (Dublin 1947), over "J.M. Co".
