View north along the river from a height within the docks, graving dock at centre right, part of steamship docked in foreground, Sarsfield Bridge and tower of St. Mary's in distance. Reverse printed in brown; at centre top, "Post C[ard]/ Printed in Gt. [Britain]" partly obscured by stamps; vertical central division line; to left "Correspondence". The red 1d Eire definitive issue stamps showing the outline map of Ireland under an arch. Faint circular cancellation at top right "Luimneach?", with rectangular to left also faint "1968/ ...ain/ ...aisiunta/ Chearta/ ....ne". Addressed to Miss E. Weldon, c/o Grant's Farm, Longthorns, Wool, Eng. Dorset, from Erica, Barbara and Gin; message safe journey back enjoyed visit.
