Postcard, b/w glossy, landscape format. Multiple view; four views set around a central oval in which is a small boy in 18/ early 19th century clothing with shillelagh over his shoulder, with on banners above and below terminating at shamrocks, "A "Small Irish"/ from Limerick". Views clockwise from top right; "O'Connell Street", looking north from Fine's jewellers; "Sarsfield Bridge" from Clare side with sailing boat moored at edge of Shannon; "Treatystone, King John's Castle & Thomond/ Bridge."; and "Shannon" view north along river from docks. Reverse printed in brown; Valentine's trade mark at centre top, a double globe set on a letter B, with "Valentine's/ Famous/ Throughout/ The World" above and across globes; to left "Post", to right "Card" partially covered by stamp; to left of dividing line "For Correspondence" to right "For Address" partially obscured by stamp. Two stamps, at left a red 1d Eire definitive issue showing the outline of Ireland under an arch, at left green definitive issue 1/2d showing an monk at a table with manuscript." Circular cancellation to left of stamps, "Luimneach/ 9??/ 14 ??/ 1949", rectangular over stamps reads "Labhair Gaeilge". Address to Miss E.
