Front depicts a three legged cauldron hanging from a tripod stand, with cauldron forming a flap; above cauldron in red "A Pot brimful of Good Wishes/ from Limerick", with "Limerick" in different type ?added later; under cauldron in red, "Regd. No. 582, 459/ Within this pot you'll find a lot/ To fill your heart with pleasure; such lovely views o'er which to muse/ When you are at your leisure./ 765". Under flap was a fold out selection of views of Limerick of which only one remains, "George Street, Limerick", remainder torn off. Reverse printed in pale grey and red; up left edge "Valentine's Series Printed in Great Britain"; to left of central division "Mailing Novelty." in grey, "Printed Matter./ Shape Passed by the G.P.O./ for 1/2D. Stamp." in red then in grey "Only Name and Address of Sender allowed/ If any other writing Penny Stamp is required./ To Open Raise Flap."; at bottom "From......."; to right "To" followed by three lines of dots for address; box for stamp at top right corner in which "Shape Passed/ by G.P.O/ for/ 1/2d Stamp". Four ink messages; in address space to "Eileen ?Alaunal ... from Walter & Nell", "Nellie" in From space, "17th March 1912" in message space and "??Fusha Fachad/ Rueben" at top right.
