Watch, pocket watch with key, silver case with brass and iron mechanism. White face with Roman numerals, brass pike-head style hands, hours and minutes. Removable brass cover over frame for mechanism; frame engraved "R.(Robert) O'Shaughnessy, Limerick" with "156" stamped after; open-work decoration over diamond? tipped wheel, lion's head at bottom, urn at top with floral acanthus leaf scroll decoration between the two; part of frame has engraved floral motif and a hand. Frame hinged to case at 12 o'clock position, glass cover hinged at 9 o'clock position and back cover hinged at 6 o'clock. Case and inside of back cover both hallmarked, Hibernia, Crowned Harp, "g", and "J.F." (John Francis, Dublin, 1852). Back of case inside cover engraved "T.R.N. Kinsley", with petal design around the winder. Jewellers marks on inside of cover "1015 07", "193m" "482D", and "591947[?]cwv" Back of cover has scale decoration, formed from intersecting arcs, with at centre the initials "T.R.N.K". Brass and iron key attached to suspension ring.
