Postcard, colour, glossy; white margin across bottom with title at centre "Cruise's Royal Hotel, Limerick, Ireland". View shows the frontage of the hotel from across the street, a little to the south and from a fist or second storey window; view encompasses one property to the north and three to the south of the hotel; doorman on main door and c 15 passers-by on pavement in front. Reverse printed in blue; at centre top a blue rhomboid with large letter C inside, with "Cardall" reading up inside that; bottom left the Cruise's Hotel arms of shield with diagonal bar and two scallops above and one below, crest of a lion's head?, and motto "Nec Temere nec Timide" ; to right of which "Cruise's Royal Hotel, Limerick, established/ in 1791, formerly the Royal Mail Coach Hotel; the halting and departing point during the Bianconi stagecoach era./ Now extensively modernised, is situated on the left bank/ of the river Shannon, and is Limerick's most distinguished/ address./ Published by Cardall Ltd., Dublin.
