Postcard, colour, matt; titled at top left "The Cathedral, Ennis" View shows the Cathedral from the side, south?, over two fields with stone walls; a large red-brick building stands behind the church at right, presbytery?, and to left of picture are the dwelling houses and outbuildings along the street frontage; in the field in the foreground to cows are grazing, while in the field behind are tow carts. Reverse printed in black; "Post Card./ The address to be written on this side." at centre top, with dotted division line below, slightly left of centre; up left edge "Valentine's Series./ Write here for Inland postage only".; rectangular box for stamp at top right corner. Unposted and unused. Pencil dealer's marks "Clare" at top left and "[pound sign]3.50" at bottom to left of centre.
