Postcard, colour, matt, novelty type. At front an idealised picture of three children with a donkey carrying turf in baskets, in an empty country lane, with a rectangular panel towards left top, bedecked with shamrocks, in which "Just a little memory/ along the lane of years/ and a wish sincere that you were here/ whom absence but endears/ Greetings from Limerick"; in bottom left corner "A.1728." Under flap set into front is a set of 12 black and white views of Limerick folded between each view, and printed at bottom, "Limerick/ Valentine & Sons Ltd., Dundee and London.-47-1". In descending order the views are; "Sarsfield Bridge, Limerick" taken from O'Callaghan Strand, with a sail boat and two rowing boats on Shannon in foreground; "O'Connell Street, Limerick" looking north with Fine's jewellers on corner in foreground; St. Mary's Church, Limerick" viewed from Athlunkard St., from approx. the position of the new Credit Union building; "Shannon Valley from Docks, Limerick", view from a height with docks in foreground and estuary ib background; "Limerick City" an aerial view; "Shannon Power House, Ardnacrusha, Limerick"; "Sarsfield Bridge Limerick" seen from a height from the Docks area; "The Quay, Limerick.", with two large steamships ; "Treaty Stone & St.[sic] John's Castle, Limerick" taken from a height probably from the pub opposite (Treaty Bar); "O'Connell Street, Limerick", looking south, with Cruise's Hotel at left margin; Bishop O'Dwyer Bridge, Limerick", view from north side looking towards St. Mary's church and Cathedral; Shannon Limerick" taken from a height showing entrance to docks and graving dock.
