Photograph, black and white, from glass negative. House in North Strand adjacent to, and part of, Strand Barracks after damage done in 1922 from by the wall along the Shannon. A gentleman in suit and trilby, with walking stick in one arm and a package under the other stands in the road looking at the camera. Two women walk together along the pavement, while a third elderly lady, stick in one hand looks at the damaged barracks, with hand to mouth. A soldier is emerging from the gateway of the house. Donor's address label on the reverse.
