Payable at the principal office in Dublin of the Bank of Ireland. Printed signature of Joseph Brennan, Chairman of the Currency Commission and S.A. (?) Gargan. Basically green on white paper, but with pale yellow and purple hues in the sunrise and one black line in inscription. The last six digits of the serial number are printed in red. Reverse has no inscription but for a repeated pound symbol; central framed depiction of the Customs House, Dublin with three masted boat on the Liffey. Watermark of a Harp and One Pound.
