Currency note, one shilling. Printed in black and grey on off white paper, on one side only. "General Strike against British Militarism, Limerick, April 1919", in outer frame. "No. 341/ The workers of Limerick/ promise to pay the bearer/ 1/-, one shillings, 1/-./ For the Limerick Trades and Labour Council" in centre. Space for Chairman and Treasurer's signature, left blank. Blue oval counterstamp of the Mechanics Institute, Limerick, towards the bottom left corner. The denomination, one shilling is printed in grey, the remainder in black. No printer's name.
