Print, mounted, "Kilkee from the Coastguard Station", with "From a photograph by Lawrence, of Dublin" below the title hidden by the mount. In the foreground two uniformed men stand on a cliff edge looking out to sea, the man on the right holds a telescope and has a dog by his side; in the middle distance is the sea with a sailing boat and a rowing boat to left of picture; in background are the terraces of houses lining the cliffs. Printed in black on white, coloured in blue, yellow and green. At bottom left of picture hidden by the mount are the Initials "W.L." [William Lawrence] at left and "Whymper" at right. The print is taken from "Irish Pictures" by Richard Lovett, published by the Religious Tract Society, Paternoster Row, London 1888. In the margin on the reverse is a pencil inscription "Clare/ 1888". Attached to mount with sellotape along the top edge. Olive green mount, with gold line framing the picture.
