Map, plan of Limerick from just south of Island Gate in the north to just south of New Barracks in the south, and from Pennywell/Dublin Road junction on east to Meads Quay on west, no scale. Printed in black on white; printed frame around, and with original blue colouring for water. Major streets named while prominent buildings are keyed 1-29 (see assoc.). North arrow and title at top right, with key below. Printed by Schench & Macfarlane (N.B. both found in list of engravers); at centre bottom outside frame "Published by A. & C. Black, Edinburgh". "1857" in pencil on reverse; otherwise blank reverse. Attached to mount, at top, with sellotape. Two folds in the paper and a slight tear at right edge, hidden by mount, suggest that it was taken from a book. Grey mount with gold line around print.
