Manuscript on parchment. Indentured lease, by Edmond Sexton Pery to Thomas Mason clothier, of a plot of land at Thomondgate (N. Priorsland) on the W. Side of intended road from the Ennis Road to the new road to Parteen through the lands of Altimira. Dated 17th October 1766. With accompanying plan of plot drawn in pen on paper, fastened to bottom of document with two pieces of white tape . There are some pencil additions to the plan. Sealed with red wax and signed at bottom by both parties. Same seal matrix used for both seals; rectangular frame with female? warrior image. Witnessed on reverse. Folded into three and then both ends to the middle and then in half. Outer cover annotated with contents. Stamped on outer cover with Land Judge and Deeds Office stamp and that is stamped over "Finally Delivered", both in blue. Some other inscriptions on cover, see below. Estate of Earl of Limerick Persons named. Lease held on the lives of George, William and John Mason the three sons of Thomas Mason of Limerick, tobacconist. Charles Jones and Widow Meade have holdings which adjoin the plot depicted. Witnesses John Dowdall Hammond and Edward Uzuld
