Ceramic whiskey jar, stoneware. 1/2 gall. Stamped, above shoulder "David Begley, Tea, Wine & Spirit Merchant, 36 William St, Limerick". Flat bottomed, increasing in diameter to the shoulder, short neck with wide flat rim. Strap handle missing. Clear glaze over lower half, brown speckled glaze on rim and down to the shoulder. Oval maker's stamp side of handle near the neck reads, "Grosvenor Glasgow" around the letter D. The rim is badly chipped and there has been a very crude attempt at a repair with a grey resinous substance.
