Cream jug. Limerick silver by George Moore, c1765. Three lion mask knuckles with paw feet. Heavy Roccoco repousse ornament, in two bands above and below a central rib. Both sets of ornament are roses with leaves, and the background is filled in with a scale pattern. The hallmark GM is at the centre of one of the roses on the upper band, immediately to the right of the handle. The handle rises from the central rib to above the rim, to scroll down to be attached at the rim. On the bottom underside is etched 6oz 12'. Three scratched lines on the underside of the top curve of the handle and 6 parallel lines on the underside of one of the paws.
