Medal, British Army, Queen's Meditteranean Medal, 1899 - 1902, awarded to No. 1971 PTE. T. HICKEY. RL. MUN. FUS: (stamped around rim, in indented block capitals). Straight suspender, no clasp. Obv: The crowned and veiled head of Queen Victoria and the legend, Victoria Regina Et Imperatrix. Rev: Brittania facing right with a flag in her left hand and holding out a laurel wreath in her right towards an advancing party of soldiers. In the background are two warships. With legend, Mediterranean. New ribbon, supplied by donor, red with two dark blue stripes and a broad orange stripe down the middle. Awarded for service in garrison with 3rd.
