Postcard, colour. Obv: Sarsfield Statue Limerick on upper left and right, printed in red ink . Colour tinted over b/w photo. Statue in railinged enclosure with gate. 3 children and 1 male youth beside statue, 2 each side. 3 storey building with pedimented front behind. Arms and motto of Limerick in white frame in bottom right corner, at an angle, printed in black, over tinted in yellow and red . Rev: Printed black on white card. Across top, centred round a trade mark (caps) The Milton (mark) Post Card. Below this a short pair of parallel lines, and from their middle, a pair of parallel lines divides the card into two halves, stopping short of the margin. Heading, left, (caps) For communication this space / may be used., and right (caps) The address only to be / written here.. Message, left: 26/9/11 (top right) / All quite (sic) here yet. Hope you got home / alright. No appearance / of a settlement so far. / Love to all. / M.. Address, right: Mrs M._. Buckley, / Main Street, / Killaloe, / Co. Clare.. All handwritten in pencil.
