Jar, ceramic, stoneware. Stamped (curved) R. Wallace & Co / Limerick on top of mouth, 4 on neck, Hunt's / Patent / Liverpool (in oval) on sloping upper part of body. Cylindrical with flat base, body slightly expanding to top. Pair of concentric incised rings at shoulder. Convex shoulder slopes evenly to neck. Narrow raised collar at junction of neck and shoulder. Concave neck merges with flat topped everted rim of jar mouth. Edge of base bevelled. Glaze: Body of jar cream coloured to just below concentric rings, then pale brown. Base unglazed.
