View across the Shannon of the castle, with the east end of Thomond Bridge at left; three rowing boats moored in river in foreground. Reverse printed in black; at centre top "Valentine's Series/ Famous/ [across twin globes] Throughout/ The/ World."; to left "Post", to right "Card."; up left edge "Valentine, Dublin"; box for stamp at top right largely obscured by stamp. Pale green halfpenny postage revenue stamp of Edward VII. Circular cancellation "Limerick/ 10 PM/ JY 30/ 10". Addressed to Mrs Coles, 98 Shelgate Road, Clapham Common, London S.W., from Alice, who has returned safely to Limerick.
