Axe, socketed bronze, miniature. Two fragments, repaired. Oval mouth with flat long sides; slight external bevel. Mouth flawed with a slight ridge on the edge of one long side and a slight groove on the bevel of the opposite, which has a slight step from the bevel to the body. The body thickens from below the level of the upper inside of the D-shaped loop, forming a plain collar to the bevel. Each face has five longitudinal raised ribs (or six broad grooves) excluding the edge casting seams. Traces of some of these ribs extend into the collar as far as the bevel. The cutting edge is convex, its thickness at the top that of the raised ribs. The loop forms a near circular opening, and is a very rough lozenge shape in cross section. There is a triangular perforation in the body under the loop. The casting seam on the loop edge extends over the bevel to the bevel on the other edge. Internal raised ridges off centre, not opposed.
