First side; "Stamp Office, Dublin,/ No. [558 11] day of [February] 183[9]/ Received from [Peter O'Brien]/ Distributer of Stamps for [Limerick] the Sum of/ [Thirty eight pounds eleven shillings "on/ Account of Advertisement /duty due by the Limerick Chronicle"]/ on Account of Stamp Duties, being the Amount of his/ remittance for the week end the {"his" to "the" crossed out} [a payment of this day per Mr. Watson]/ {ps} [38.11.0/ Robert Tyrrell] Receiver-General/ [H. Cooper] Comptroller./ To the Distributer of Stamps./ [Limerick & Clare]"; under the figure are Dec and Jan totals adding up to sum. Final page "To/ Distributer of Stamps,/ [Limerick]/ Post Paid.". Back forms the address; both ends folded inward, bottom upwards then top down and sealed. Rectangular red cancellation over address "Paid/ MY11E/ 1839". Hole in paper where seal opened. Watermark; "J. Rump/ 1837" and parallel lines.
