Envelope, blue paper, addressed to Peter O'Brien Esqr., Stamp Office, Limerick. Victoria penny red unperforated postage stamp, at top right, letters NJ. Cancellation on stamp "285" in a lozenge of parallel lines. Three circular cancellations "Limerick/ AP 6/ 1848/E" on front; "Kilrush/ AP 6/ 1848" and "Ennis/ AP 6/ 1848", on reverse. Applied circular red paper seal on flap, embossed with Gothic letter C on lined background.
